Alan De Castro is a travel photographer who has recently visited Nepal, India, and Sri Lanka. In his ongoing journey in world travel, he has captured many cultures and traditions, historical places, natural wonders, and the human spirit. Some of his work has covered the Chepang mountain people of Nepal, trekking life in the Himalayas, rural Sinhalese landscapes, and a variety of south Asian street photography. As a member of the National Geographic community, Alan’s compassion for people, nature, and color reflects in his photos which is combined with his love for composition and design. He currently resides in the San Francisco bay area where he attended school at the Academy of Arts University and attained a bachelor of fine arts in film. A bay area native, he has a over ten years of visual effects experience as a digital compositor and 3D stereo conversion artist.
